BCF Scholarship for “non-traditional” students
The Barberton Community Foundation offers Adult Back to School scholarships to Barberton residents to help them attain their first certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Those with a certificate or associate’s degree who are working toward their first associate’s or bachelor’s degree also are eligible to apply.
The program is designed around the Foundation’s belief that an educated workforce strengthens families and communities. The hope is that more Barberton residents will obtain a better paying job, one that offers benefits such as healthcare insurance and retirement savings.
Adult Back to School scholarships, up to $1,000, are available to full- or part-time students at any accredited institution.
Applications are due to the Foundation office by: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, by 5 p.m.
Complete Criteria, Guidelines and the Application are available at the Foundation office, 460 W. Paige Ave, or by contacting Holli Mallak at (330) 745-5995 or hmallak@bcfcharity.org.
