To be considered for a Foundation scholarship, a candidate must:
Have graduated with a minimum, unweighted, 4.0-based grade point average (GPA) of 3.0,
Have passed all five sections of the 9th Grade Proficiency Test,
Be a resident of either the Barberton City School District or the City of Barberton, and
Be a current graduate of Barberton High School with a minimum attendance of two years.
At the discretion of the Foundation, scholarships may be renewable for up to four years if the student maintains a minimum accumulative 3.0 GPA. Click here for additional information regarding Scholarships to High School Seniors or Renewal Scholarships .
Deadlines:
BHS seniors-Scholarship usage agreement from the college is due July 1.
Renewal scholarships-Transcript and financial aid letter are due July 1.
Applications:
Students are not required to complete an application for the Scholarship Program.
Scholarships are awarded to qualified students based upon predetermined criteria.
